Key responsibilities * Undertaking complex social care assessments under the Care Act 2014, focusing on a strengths-based approach that supports independence and resilience. * Leading Section 42 safeguarding enquiries. * Conducting assessments under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, ensuring people can make informed choices about their mental health and well-being. * Managing a realistic caseload with the autonomy to prioritise work based on need and risk. * Developing high-quality care and support plans and reviewing outcomes. * Working closely within a strong multidisciplinary framework to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. What You Will Bring We are looking for individuals who embody professionalism, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to social work values: * Relevant mental health and social care experience in a statutory setting. * A genuine passion for working with people using a strengths-based approach. * Proven ability to implement the Care Act 2014 and complete high-quality assessments and care/support plans. * Ability to work autonomously and be flexible and responsive to the needs of the people you support and your colleagues. * Experience of working with people of varying care and support needs. * Current registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England (or close to registration if a final year student). * A clean driving licence and access to a car for travel across the Borough
