Founded in 2018, Distinctive is a fast growing grocery sourcing business, supplying British retailers with differentiated products that customers truly value. The UK grocery market has been going through a massive transformation and Distinctive is on a mission to help retailers and brands grow faster throughout this process.
Managed by a team of highly experienced ex-retailers that have set out to transform the way products reach customers; we deliver ambient and chilled, food and non-food products to our UK retail customers. We are expanding rapidly and are constantly looking for the right people to join our team.
The Account Manager will play a fundamental role in the growth of Distinctive. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and shape a role and a team.
Responsibilities
As our new Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and managing client relationships to boost sales performance and service levels. You’ll:
* Build & Nurture Relationships
Partner closely with suppliers and retail clients, providing expert advice on how to best serve their shoppers.
* Analyse & Act
Monitor key performance metrics against financial goals, stay ahead of industry trends, new products and brands and translate insights into winning action plans.
* Prepare and Lead Meetings
Prepare and lead engaging customer and supplier review sessions, reviewing past performance and proposing new customer propositions.
* Collaborate & Grow
Support the team as we continue expanding our retailer and supplier base.

* Client Management expertise: Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships.

* Retail Know-How: Grocery retail or FMCG background and a working knowledge of category management
* Independence & Adaptability: Comfort working independently, owning your own projects and in an ambiguous environment
* Analytical: Good numerical skills, attention to details and strong excel skills
* Team Spirit: Good team player willing to roll-up their sleeves
Logistics
* Our office is based in Lichfield and the ideal candidate will be Midland based
* Work is hybrid and some travel necessary so holding a UK driving license is required
* Right to work in the UK
