We're seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Planning and Document Assistant to join our innovative team in Deeside, North Wales. What you'll do:
* Provide ongoing administrative and technical support to the maintenance planning and scheduling area of a large Engineering Department, to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of operational tasks. With a keen focus on administrative tasks including but not exhaustive, Purchase Requests, Supplier Data Collection (this includes 3 quotes for all required items for engineering), Purchase Orders.
* Responsible for the creation and distribution of the maintenance reports to the wider team, in order to support with decision making and improving performance tracking.
* Collaborate with Engineering Management and Supervisors to support with general administrative activities.
* Support the Engineering purchasing function to ensure efficient and effective process.
* Responsible for the administration of work orders in order to support with preparing for routine maintenance work and the allocation of labour resource. This includes the administrative maintenance of all work orders, including adding attachments, printing, monitoring outstanding actions and the closure of work orders
* Raising and processing work requests, whilst ensuring timely and accurate handling to support operational tasks.
* Collaboration, information gathering and relationship management of suppliers in order to receive parts and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
* Assisting with the handling of general engineering correspondence, collation and maintenance of accurate records of departmental training programmes in conjunction with the HR team.
What you'll bring:
* Proven administrative experience, preferable in an engineering or technical environment.
* A background or understanding of purchasing processes and procedures is desirable.
* Proficiency in office software and systems. Experience within SAP or other maintenance systems is desirable.
* Proactive attitude and the ability to identify and report on non-compliance within processes and procedures.
* A positive, can-do attitude with a self-motivated approach and willingness to take initiative.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Highly motivated, agile and results driven with the ability to problem solve.
* An interest in developing and progressing within the growing business.
* Excellent organisational skills, capable of efficiently prioritising work and ensuring smooth workflow.
