Media Relations and PR Coordinator (fixed-term) – Creative Scotland

Location: Edinburgh base, predominantly remote work. Contract: Full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term to 31 March 2026. Preferred start date: 3 November 2025. Salary: £28,685 (Grade B) pro-rata plus pension and benefits.
Responsibilities
* Support the Media Relations and PR Team across a range of duties, including researching and writing press releases.
* Triaging press enquiries and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Logging, monitoring and analysing press coverage; ensuring press office systems are up to date and accurate.
* Collaborate with team to maintain efficient press office operations and contribute to reporting.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience of working in a busy Press Office.
* Strong research and writing skills.
* Ability to collate analytical data and prepare accurate reporting.
* Proactive, with the ability to use initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new applications.
* Ability to interact confidently, courteously and discreetly with a wide range of people and the media.
* Given this is a contract role, prior experience in an arts or media organisation is highly regarded and helps rapid onboarding with subject-matter related to arts and culture.
