Senior Account Manager, MMS Pharmacy Automation Retail - UK&I
BD invites highly motivated sales professionals to join our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team in the UK & Ireland. This role is responsible for identifying, managing, and developing prioritized accounts in the retail pharmacy and medium/large drugstore (MDS) segment to establish BD as the strategic partner of choice. The Senior Account Manager will develop and execute a 2‑to‑4 year growth strategy, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and drive revenue and GP growth while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a long‑term growth strategy for BD Rowa Retail portfolio as part of the wider PA retail growth plan.
* Obtain buy‑in, actively communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholder teams to co‑create value and effective implementation of BD Rowa Retail and PA Rowa systems.
* Strengthen network of key healthcare influencers regionally.
* Identify solutions that best meet customer needs through collaboration with wider teams.
* Negotiate solutions with board‑level decision makers.
* Manage the BD Rowa Retail interface requirements.
Main Activities
* Prospect, develop and manage accounts to improve revenue and GP growth for BD Rowa Retail product and services portfolio.
* Serve as key interface to hospital management and identify solutions with senior management based on need analysis.
* Guide solution development and coordinate project teams for implementation, including activation of internal resources.
* Establish strong personal relationships with relevant sponsors and power sponsors (direct site & virtual, congresses and conventions).
* Negotiate appropriate strategic deals meeting customer and BD MMS expectations.
* Oversee solution implementation and remain the focal point of contact for the ‘power sponsor’ in the account.
About You
* Extensive experience in a similar role promoting high‑value equipment and board‑level negotiation.
* Strong understanding of national healthcare system, reimbursement and influencing dynamics; knowledge of hospital landscape is a plus.
* Ability to communicate effectively with broad business and technical disciplines and influence these groups to achieve objectives.
* Excellent business development skills and proven leadership ability to drive solutions.
* Team leadership – work effectively as a member and leader of multi‑functional teams.
* Flexible regarding travel.
Salary Range
£65,000 – £75,000 + bonus + benefits.
