Role alignment and context notes: This role leading the Insurance Money Services architecture team aligns with Tesco Bank’s broader technology strategy and customer-focused goals.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Insurance & Money Services architecture team as part of the technology leadership team; help deliver go-to-market plans, growth strategies, and customer experience initiatives.
* Develop and implement the supporting technology strategy with a focus on: driving value from new technologies (data analytics and AI), improving quality and speed to market, delivering scalable and cost-efficient solutions, and enabling leading-edge digital experiences for customers and employees.
* Transform legacy architecture and embrace new technology innovations to reduce cost to serve; ensure risk management, security, and resilience of systems and operations.
* Define and execute a strategic architecture plan with prioritised features, reliable estimates, and tracked design activities to meet time frames and the overall plan.
* Define strategy for enterprise architecture function embedding digital assets and capabilities; support digital strategy, organizational design, processes, and policies.
* Lead analysis and development of long-term strategic and operating plans to align architecture with evolving business needs and digital transformation.
* Horizon scanning to identify external developments affecting Insurance & Money Services and evaluate their impact.
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation processes across the division to deliver outcomes.
* Provide authoritative information and business advice to the leadership team and stakeholders.
* Provide leadership and direction, communicating actions needed to implement the architectural strategy and aligning with broader objectives; motivate teams to achieve goals.
* Performance management within the department; set priorities, hold direct reports accountable, and take corrective action to meet annual objectives.
