The ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) department, also known as Otolaryngology, is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the head and neck. Main duties of the job
Varied Responsibilities: Being a Clerical Officer in the ENT department can often have diverse responsibilities, including managing post operative appointments, typing clinical letters, handling phone calls, maintaining patient records and keeping the office organised and tidy.

Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Working closely with ENT specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals provides a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Support across multiple administrative teams during sickness/annual leave and complete other tasks that commensurate with the grade of your post covering reception checking patients in, manning phones and taking/returning messages, adding waiting lists and appointments to PAS as per trust policy.

Job responsibilities
14. Type patient letters relating to clinics in accurate and timely manner and be able to prioritise workload with the support from the Medical Secretaries/Admin manager
15. Update RTT in accordance with Trust guidelines. Assist the Administration and Clerical team with data management utilising PAS and other departmental patient databases.
16. Maintain Administration Procedures for departmental practices, to ensure colleagues can cover workload in absence and offer suggestion at regular team meeting for improvements in working practices.
17. Any other tasks commensurate with the grade of this post at the request of the departmental medical secretaries, Administration Manager or Operational Manager, to ensure the smooth operation of the dept.
