Lusona is supporting our client in the service sector based in Inverclyde to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Accountant. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented finance professional to play a key role in the company’s success. As a professionally qualified accountant, you will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to empower the leadership team.
What you will do:
1. Assist in the year end audit and corporation tax statutory reporting.
2. Production of insightful weekly and monthly management information to external audit level quality.
3. Ensure VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax compliance across all group operating companies.
4. Review the integrity of all group company balance sheet control account reconciliations.
5. Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to introduce and improve internal control procedures.
6. Partner with cross functional teams to develop and implement cost saving initiatives.
7. Assist in the budgeting and reforecasting exercises.
8. Analyse financial data using financial ratios, trend analysis and other techniques to identify areas for improvement.
9. Work with the Group Financial Controller to update and document the consolidation process.
What you will bring:
10. Professional qualification - ACCA, CIMA or ICAS
11. Full awareness of all current accounting standards.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams with an advanced working knowledge of excel spreadsheets.
14. The ability to work equally well on own initiative or as part of a wider team.
15. Ability to produce work of the highest quality with an eye for attention to detail.
