NHS Grampian is recruiting motivated and enthusiastic midwives to join our Maternity Service, delivering high-quality, person-centred care aligned with our organisational values.
Positions are available with various working hours (full-time & part-time, permanent and temporary), for both experienced and newly graduated Midwives (NGMs).
You will be able to work effectively within busy teams, caring for individuals with diverse health and social care needs, collaborating with other health-related agencies. NHS Grampian offers strong support for all midwives, including a structured development programme and preceptorship for NGMs.
This programme aims to provide broad experience and postgraduate development opportunities across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. It offers a structured progression route to consolidate learning and develop knowledge, skills, and competence in a supportive environment. It also prepares you for new ways of working as the service transitions in anticipation of the move to the Baird Family Hospital and the development of Continuity of Carer teams. All NGMs will be supported to complete Flying Start and will be invited to our Connect 5 Forum.
For those eligible to commence employment in 2025 (i.e., already hold an NMC PIN or expected to complete pre-registration training in 2025), interviews will be held at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital on 7 August 2025. The option of a MS Teams interview is available, although slots are limited.
