A supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bedford is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team for the new academic year. The role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs both within the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
The school is part of a well-established multi-academy trust, offering strong SEN support systems, collaborative working, and excellent opportunities for professional development.
Your Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist with classroom learning and targeted interventions
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Essential Job Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs
