About the Role Reporting to the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure the smooth flow of information to production. Main Duties & Responsibilities Creation & Maintenance of Bill of Materials for Production & New Product Development Processing Production & Engineering Change Orders Creation and maintenance standard hours in the system to aid fully costed BOM's and planning input. Production support to the Manufacturing Department Creation & maintenance of kit lists for machineshop to ensure accurate kitting. Weekly and monthly reporting on site efficiency & variances to standard cost. Costing estimates for new product and revisions. Support and Drive Continuous Improvement Projects. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum HNC / HND Engineering Qualification or demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on job experience. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous Competent in use of Microsoft packages Experience of 3D modelling software would be advantageous Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent multi-tasking & attention to detail skills Ability to work under pressure Good organizational skills Logical & Methodical approach to problem solving Ability to work with others to meet deadlines This above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role.
