This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the Connect Plus Services fleet operation, supporting one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure contracts. What You’ll Be Doing
1. Act as the first point of contact for all transport, plant, and fleet activities across the M25 DBFO network, providing technical advice as required.
2. Take ownership and responsibility for all fleet, plant, and transport across the network.
3. Ensure legal and operational efficiency, safety, and compliance of the commercial fleet and drivers.
4. Serve as the escalation and authority point for commercial vehicle maintenance and transport compliance.
5. Support operational depots with vehicle, driver, and O-licence issues.
6. Identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and cost savings across all aspects of transport, fleet, and plant.
7. Assist operational managers with investigations into transport compliance issues and help implement measures to prevent recurrence.
8. Conduct regular documented visits to operational depots and hold review meetings with operational management teams and internal/external suppliers.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can bring both expertise and enthusiasm to this role. Ideally, you will have:
9. Experience managing vehicle fleet operations across multiple sites.
10. Knowledge of commercial vehicle operations and operator licence compliance.
11. A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Managers.
12. Strong industry experience, including vehicles and construction-related plant.
13. A valid CSCS card.
14. Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
15. Good IT and presentation skills.
16. A full UK driving licence.
