Duties and Responsibilities
As a key member of the theatre team, you will support the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting Nurses and Consultants during surgical procedures
* Assisting Scrub Nurses within the operating theatres
* Providing patient support within the anaesthetic room
* Transporting patients to and from the ward
* Opening sterile packs and preparing clinical equipment
* Preparing, checking, and handling instruments prior to procedures
* Assisting with equipment ordering and stock control
* Maintaining theatre cleanliness and supporting infection prevention and control
* Contributing actively to a safe, efficient, and high‑quality theatre environment
Who We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within theatre settings (desirable)
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (e.g. Care Certificate)
* A caring, compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
