SEN Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start – Scunthorpe (Alternate Provision)We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic alternate provision based in Scunthorpe. This setting offers a supportive and therapeutic environment for pupils who have struggled to thrive in mainstream education. The provision focuses on re-engaging young people with learning through tailored academic and pastoral support, helping them build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
About the Role:
* Start Date: ASAP
* Location: Scunthorpe
* Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
* Focus: Supporting pupils primarily with English, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
* Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience working with pupils who present with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or have been excluded from mainstream settings
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners
* Strong literacy skills and confidence in supporting English at KS3/KS4 level
* Ability to build positive relationships and maintain consistent boundaries
* Commitment to full-time hours and long-term engagement with the provision
