Salary Dependent on Experience.
As part of our post‑order Design Engineering team (Infrastructure Projects), you will collaborate with project delivery teams to produce design deliverables in line with project programmes. You will work closely with regional Project Managers to manage and deliver comprehensive Life Safety System designs for complex major projects.
Responsibilities
* Become fully competent through in‑house training in the use of the Company’s computer systems to meet customer requirements and communicate accurate and valid information when conversing with both internal and external customers.
* Represent the Company consistently and positively to customers in line with the Customer Care Requirements.
* Maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers.
* Ensure all documentation is accurately completed, stored, and provided to appropriate personnel when required.
* Implement Company design procedures with relevant stakeholders, ensure a full understanding of scope documents, and that the system design is fully compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
* Manage the post‑order design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring all documentation, drawings, and calculations are produced, recorded, and reported in line with company standards.
* Any other duties commensurate with the role.
Qualifications
Previous design experience and technical understanding of fire and security related systems, with a proven ability to professionally document, illustrate, and present detailed fire and security system designs. In‑depth knowledge of the relevant standards: BS 5839 pt1, pt8, pt9; BS 6266; BS 7671; and BS 7273.
