Logistics & Stock Coordinator
Edinburgh based | full driving license required as you will need to visit local sites
Permanent role | Full Time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | some flex may be given on hours
Salary up to £37,000 (depending on relevant experience)
Search Consultancy are delighted to be working with a leading engineering company based in Edinburgh to recruit this role on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced coordinator with UK freight forwarding experience looking to make a move to a market leader in the field.
Duties involved in this role will include
* Negotiating national freight rates and booking the inbound and outbound
* Informing designers of national freight rates for quoting purposes
* Updating pipeline of expected and actual UK shipping dates
* Regular updates to clients on these shipping dates
* Issuing of all paperwork to clients including CoCs on receipt of goods
* Oversight of inventory and forecasting to ensure correct stock counts, inclusive of monthly rolling stock takes
* Assisting in the development of new systems as we grow as an organisation
* General support to the logistics department
In order to be considered for this role your experience should include:
* UK freight forwarding experience - this experience is ESSENTIAL
* UK driving license - also ESSENTIAL
* Excellent verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues alike
* Solid IT skills including proficiency with Outlook and Excel, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
