Overview
We are looking for a pharmacist to join our growing clinical pharmacy team who wants to develop their clinical skills in a variety of clinical specialities.
Responsibilities
* Perform medicine reconciliations, screen drug charts and work alongside multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patients receive the best care.
* Facilitate safe discharges and ensure safe medicine provision on your ward.
* Support the development of students and trainee pharmacists.
* Participate in rotations with set clinical objectives reviewed at each rotation by your line manager; rotations include, but are not limited to, acute, general and specialist medicine, general surgery, paediatrics/medicines information and external rotations to local Adult and Paediatric Mental Health Services.
Qualifications
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Good written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to apply evidence and guidelines to practice and awareness of personal limitations with the ability to refer to others when necessary.
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Training and Development
* Foundational pharmacists have a rotational role across our three largest hospital sites to experience these specialities in different working environments.
* Extensive in-house training with monthly clinical education sessions on a variety of topics.
* Encouragement to sign up for the NHS England Newly Qualified Pharmacists programme, supported by educational supervisors, practice supervisors, experienced pharmacists and technicians.
