Job Profile
An experienced Chartered Building Surveyor is required to join a Chartered Building Surveying Practice offering a range of services to customers across the commercial, private, and public sectors, including insurance reinstatement, building design, property development, and building services. The practice operates across the UK from offices in London, Southeast, Midlands, and Northwest areas.
Due to increased business and new clients, the practice is looking to strengthen its professional team. You can work remotely from your home base or adopt a hybrid approach from their London office, depending on your circumstances, as they offer flexible working arrangements.
The role is busy and varied, involving work on a wide range of projects, primarily insurance-related, including reinstatement of residential and commercial buildings.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct inspections and advise on design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of buildings.
* Perform measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and investigations.
* Assess existing buildings, identify defects, and propose repairs.
* Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings for repairs, refurbishment, demolition, and rebuilding.
* Manage projects and analyze post-tender results.
* Oversee works using recognized contracts and current technical standards.
* Lead projects independently with comprehensive knowledge of professional consultancy services.
* Apply relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning regulations.
* Promote the company's services to secure projects and grow the business.
* Experience in project management, design, and contract administration.
* Deal with all perils related to buildings.
* Maintain professionalism and aim for long-term career development.
* Understand CAD, CDM Regulations 2015, The Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulations, and Planning Legislation.
* Hold a full UK driving license.
Salary & Benefits:
* Up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
* Bonus exceeding 14% per annum, with OTE up to £85,000.
