The job itself
Required to start in September to join our midday team at Kings Mill School.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and caring person to supervise students with varying special needs during lunchtime.
You will work as part of Kings Mill's experienced team based at our main school site or our Sixth Form on the Driffield School site.
Support, guidance, and training will be provided. All potential applicants are welcome to visit the school to meet staff and see what the work involves.
For an informal discussion about this position or to arrange a visit, please contact Lisa Brown, School Business Manager, at 01377 253375 or email: kingsmill.specialschool@eastriding.gov.uk.
The school and residence are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a self-declaration regarding any criminal record or information that might make them unsuitable to work with children. An online search will also be conducted.
You must be able to explain any gaps in your employment or education history and have the legal right to work in the UK. Appointments are subject to satisfactory enhanced disclosure checks by the Disclosure and Barring Service, along with other background checks including professional references.
We adhere to all principles of safer recruitment outlined in DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education (current version).
Further information about our safeguarding commitment can be found in our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, available in the policies section of our website: www.kingsmillschool.co.uk.
