To Undertake This Role
To undertake this role, you should meet the following requirements.
* Have at least 6 months experience in a healthcare setting within the past 12 months OR be a Student Nurse who has completed the first placement (document this in your application).
* GCSE A*-C (grade 4 and above) in English and Maths or equivalent.
* Be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts in a rolling 4-month period and remain compliant with all essential training.
Main duties of the job
A Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) is a core team member delivering personal care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to provide high-quality, compassionate care. You will perform non-clinical healthcare tasks under supervision, provide compassionate care to agreed standards and in line with Trust values.
You will be expected to do 5 days of induction within a week and may be employed on a zero-hours basis; on occasions you may work between Bristol and Weston sites.

Education/Training/Qualifications
Essential criteria
* GCSE grade A-C (grade 4 and above) in English
* GCSE grade A-C (grade 4 and above) in Maths
* Ability and willingness to undertake appropriate training
Work Experience
Essential criteria
* At least 6 months of recent work experience in a health or social care setting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Essential criteria
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* IT skills, basic Word, Email, keyboard skills
* Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations
Personal Qualities
Essential criteria
* Flexible and adaptable to change, able to work a range of shifts and move across wards/departments as needed
* Enthusiasm and commitment to working within a healthcare setting
