Job Description The Housing Support Supervisor will work with vulnerable households including those identified within the Housing First and the UK governments resettlement programmes to prevent homelessness arising. The job is focused on prevention and supporting homeless clients on a needs led basis in collaboration with other housing support services. The post holder will also be expected to facilitate appropriate referrals to other support agencies. The Housing Support Supervisor will support, mentor and coach team members by validating their decisions, dealing with complex cases and ensuring performance targets are met. The Housing Support Supervisor will deputise for the Housing Support Officer in their absence. Requirements The responsibility for the day-to-day managing of the Housing Support Assistants (HSAs) including auditing their workloads, cases and paperwork. To carry out client assessments as delegated by the Housing Support Officer and identify where support actions are detailed to meet the needs of the client. To assist the Housing Support Officer in ensuring that support packages are reviewed quarterly in accordance with the Housing Support procedures. Undertake case management with the Housing Support Assistants and maintain appropriate records for the purpose of internal and external audits. Be aware of key performance management indicators of the Housing Support Team and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of these. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car. Ability to relate to people with multiple needs. Ability to be non-judgmental. Home visits to clients in Own Tenancies, Temporary Accommodation, and Hostels. Flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the service. Ability to work in an open plan office. Ability to work in different offices depending on the needs of the service. This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
