Responsibilities
* Support CMDB Strategy Architecture
* Define and maintain the CMDB strategy data model and architecture aligned with banking regulatory and operational requirements
* Design configuration item CI classes, attributes, and relationships across infrastructure applications, cloud and third‑party services
* Ensure CMDB alignment with ITIL ITSM processes including Incident, Change, Problem, Release, and Asset Management
* Enforce Data Quality Governance
* Enforce CMDB governance policies and standards
* Monitor and improve CMDB data quality including completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
* Implement KPIs and dashboards for CMDB health and compliance
o Lead implementation and optimization of automated discovery tools
o Integrate CMDB with upstream and downstream systems
o Validate reconciliation rules and data normalization processes
+ Support regulatory and audit requirements e.g., operational resilience, third‑party risk
+ Enable impact analysis, dependency mapping, and service visibility
+ Partner with Risk, Compliance and Audit teams to ensure CMDB data supports control testing and evidence requests
* Change Service Impact
o Ensure CMDB is a trusted source for change impact analysis and service dependency mapping
o Embed CMDB usage into Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes
o Support major incident management with accurate service and infrastructure relationships
o Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) for configuration management within the bank
o Mentor junior CMDB analysts or consultants
o Advise senior stakeholders on CMDB maturity roadmap and value realization
Preferred Qualifications
* ITIL Expert or ITIL 4 Managing Professional certification
* CMDB Service Mapping or platform‑specific certifications
* Experience with multi‑region hybrid cloud banking environments
* Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices in regulated organizations
* Deep expertise with enterprise CMDB platforms e.g., ServiceNow or equivalent
Strong Understanding of
* IT infrastructure: servers, networks, storage
* Applications and middleware
* Hands‑on experience with discovery, reconciliation and data normalization
* ITSM Frameworks
* Strong working knowledge of ITIL v3 or v4, particularly Configuration, Change, Incident, and Asset Management
* Experience aligning CMDB with service mapping and business service models
* Banking regulatory awareness
* Understanding of banking operational risk resilience and audit expectations
* Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews and risk assessments using CMDB data
