People and Office Project Manager at Ooni Pizza Ovens
As our Copywriter, you will be charged with bringing our brand voice to life across all of our communication platforms. At Ooni, we are seeking a versatile Copywriter with proven global experience to join our Creative team. This role requires someone who can craft compelling, brand‑right copy across multiple markets and platforms while adapting tone and messaging to resonate with diverse international audiences. This role is based out of our Lomond House office in Edinburgh, and you will collaborate with creative, marketing, and product teams to bring ideas to life through words that inform, inspire, and convert.
Please note this is a hybrid role, based at our office in Edinburgh Park 3 days per week.
What you’ll do
* Stewardship of the Ooni voice and tone, overseeing its consistent application in all media.
* Writing, writing, writing. Web copy, email, ad copy, packaging, the occasional social post, product descriptions, video scripts, blogs, recipes, job specs, etc. Lots of writing. This is mostly a writing job.
* Proofreading, copy editing, and improving written work from other people on the team, including everything listed in the previous bullet point.
* Collaborating with the Creative, Brand Marketing, and Digital Marketing teams to develop campaign plans and other ideas that will share our passion for great pizza throughout the world.
* Deliver consistently high‑quality work on deadlines.
* Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and strategic objectives.
* Conduct research on markets, competitors, and audiences to inform copy strategies.
* Finding interesting and occasionally funny ways to describe pizza without resorting to puns. Pizza puns in your cover letter will be an automatic DQ. Tough crowd.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Proven experience as a copywriter (agency or in‑house), ideally with a portfolio showcasing a range of effective and creative copy (that you wrote) in a variety of media, which could include advertising, email, journalism/content, social media, and anything else you feel is relevant to Ooni.
* Experience bringing a brand’s voice and tone guidelines to life, and ability to adapt style and tone for different audiences, markets, and platforms.
* Strong grammar, punctuation, and usage chops. For American English, we follow the AP Style Guide.
* Experience working as part of a global marketing team, collaborating with cross‑functional and international teams.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Self‑starting mentality with the ability to deliver quality without close supervision.
