About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a live-out chef to work within a private household in the Cotswolds, near Stroud. The role involves cooking for the principals, who are health-conscious and follow a strict high-performance nutritional plan. You will work with a nutritionist and strength and conditioning team to create meals within a calorie/macro plan, ensuring variety and deliciousness.
The family occasionally entertains at home, so comfort with dinner parties and cooking for guests is essential. Discretion and trustworthiness are paramount. The role may require travel to other UK and overseas locations for short projects.
This is a permanent, full-time position, 5 days a week, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner with some flexibility to meet the family's needs.
Start: End of May
Salary: Dependent on experience – circa 65K+
Responsibilities and Requirements
1. Creating varied menus following the Principal's dietary requirements
2. Keeping the kitchens stocked with appropriate ingredients
3. Shopping and sourcing seasonal ingredients
4. Managing the wine cellar and beverages in the pantry and bar areas
5. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness at all times
6. Preparing and stocking a 'Wild' kitchen when required
7. Working as part of a high-performance team of specialists
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
9. Flexibility to travel with the family if required
10. Willingness to work 5 days a week, with some weekend flexibility
11. Comfort with dogs
12. Full driving license and own vehicle
13. Enhanced DBS check at offer stage
Experience
1. Minimum 3 years chef experience
2. Private chef experience preferred
