BUK Technology Portfolio Delivery HeadJob Description

Purpose of the role

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and inpliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities
1. Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
2. Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
3. Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
4. Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
5. Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
6. Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
7. Facilitation of change management activities, including training andmunication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

Director Expectations
8. To manage a business function, providing significant input to function wide strategic initiatives. Contribute to and influence policy and procedures for the function and plan, manage and consult on multipleplex and critical strategic projects, which may be business wide..
9. They manage the direction of a large team or sub-function, leading other people managers and embedding a performance culture aligned to the values of the business. Or for an individual contributor, they lead organisation wide projects and act as deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross functionally. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions..
10. Provide expert advice to senior functional management andmittees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
11. Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
12. Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately.
13. Foster and guidepliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
14. Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate.
15. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives.
16. Maintain broad andprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
17. Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in oftenplex/ sensitive situations.
18. Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or rmendations within own area.
19. Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
20. Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions.
21. Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.

Key Accountabilities
22. Manage execution of the BUK Technology Portfolio across all CIO teams and stakeholders
23. The portfolio execution accountability is divided across PODs and Enterprise Programmes each with an accountable CIO. This role will oversee all BUK Technology deliverymitments across sustain, control, run the bank and build the bank capacity creation and its technology transformation, creating a framework to effectively manage delivery, risks and issues.
24. Apply the right processes, tools, methods and skills to manage the delivery of the portfolio from business case through to closure.
25. The role will have a accountability to the BUK CIO

Stakeholder Management and Leadership
26. Stakeholder engagement will involve running working groups, portfolioernance forums and interacting with wide range of stakeholders
27. Build trusted relationships with a network of key stakeholders that help influence the portfolio oues, acting as an advocate for the change and joining up executives and delivery teams
28. Provide regular and effectivemunication of updates and changes to the portfolio Accountable executives and key stakeholders
29. Develop a stakeholder plan to ensure all stakeholders are appropriately engaged and aware of their roles in the portfolio/project
30. Proactive in initiating early engagement with key stakeholders to ensure effective partnership across all relevant areas of the business, which includes openness to giving and receiving challenge at all levels.
31. Provides insight and guidance where control enhancements require alignment across multiple stakeholders.

Portfolio Economics
32. Review all financials including costs and workforce requirements, in partnership with Finance ensuring ongoing costs meet targets and budget requirements
33. Determine, monitor and review workforce requirements, resource mix to ensure they are appropriate to deliver the portfolio.

Decision-making and Problem Solving
34. Skilled in operating withinplex and changing environments
35. Strong decision making skills to determine when to make the decision and when best to escalate
36. Seek to develop or enhance existing systems/processes
37. Provide advice and guidance influencing the effectiveness of the portfolio
38. Be able to consider multiple options from different perspectives in order to identify pragmatic and effective solutions.
