As a Tech & MOT Tester - for speccing, your responsibilities will include:
9. Conducting thorough vehicle diagnostics and road tests
10. Carrying out routine servicing, MOT testing, and warranty repairs
11. Diagnosing vehicle faults using technical literature and information bulletins
12. Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workshop
13. Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
14. Communicating directly with customers when required and providing clear, professional explanations
15. Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used
16. Upgrading skills through manufacturer training and courses
Candidate requirements for the Tech & MOT Tester - for speccing role include:
17. Recognition of a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training
18. Extensive experience in service and repair of motor vehicles (minimum 3 years dealership experience)
19. MOT certification
20. Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and testing procedures
21. Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and customer service skills
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an attractive starting salary of up to £35,000 per year.
