Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a Primary Autism class in a welcoming SEND school in Whitley Bay. This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient, compassionate, and proactive individual who is committed to making a meaningful difference in children’s lives.
In this role, you will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a structured and nurturing classroom environment. You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to deliver tailored learning activities, support communication and social development, and help pupils engage positively in their education.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:
Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC) or additional needs
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Confidence supporting learning through structured routines and visual strategies
The ability to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
A genuine passion for inclusive education
Strong communication and teamwork skills
