Student Placement Opportunity - Packaging Operations

We’re pleased to offer an opportunity for an ambitious undergraduate to join our highly skilled team on a full-time, 12-month placement where you will gain invaluable experience within this highly competitive industry.
The Role
The Technical Specialist Placement Student will provide support for the validation and introduction of new products, equipment and processes including serialisation to support the growth of Almac Pharma Services. They will support Almac Pharma Services packaging sites (as required) and will work closely with the Technical, Operational (Packaging) and Client Project teams.
Within a validation environment, the Technical Specialist Placement Student will provide support by reviewing procedures and implement process improvements whilst ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practice.
Key Requirements
* Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
* Studying for a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level) in a related Scientific/Technical discipline
* Available to conduct a 12 month full time placement commencing summer 2026 before returning to university to complete their degree programme
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
Desirable Requirements
* Appreciation of cGMP and manufacturing processes of pharmaceutical products
* Experience undertaking technical work/experiments which have involved problem solving
* Experience of presenting an approach to a project including summary of work, data generation and key findings or conclusions
Location and Details
Based on site at our state-of-the-art custom designed facilities in Craigavon. 37.5 hours per week on our flexi pattern (core working hours are 10.00-16.00) Monday - Friday. Competitive plus excellent benefits package. Business Unit: Almac Pharma Services.
