The Opportunity
Do you thrive on organisation, problem-solving, and making things run smoothly? We’re looking for a Production Planner to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our bakery.
* Direct and coordinate the manufacturing process to ensure smooth production flow.
* Build daily, weekly, and 7-day production plans that optimise resources, capacity, and cost.
* Act as the key link between departments, ensuring clear communication and excellent customer service.
* Monitor stock levels, reduce waste, and maintain >99.5% customer service levels.
* Support product trials, promotions, and continuous improvement projects.
* Analyse data, spot trends, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
The Ideal Candidate

* Previous planning or scheduling experience (ideally in food manufacturing).
* Strong knowledge of planning methods, Excel (advanced level), and planning systems (Aurora/System 21 desirable).
* Numerate and literate (GCSE standard or above).
* Sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* A team player who communicates effectively and drives continuous improvement.
