Buyer We are recruiting for a Buyer to lead our Christmas, Seasonal and Arcadia team. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract. About the Role As the Buyer for Christmas, Seasonal and Arcadia, you will proactively manage the development of the brand and production proposition through the team. You will ensure that the brand strategy for Christmas, Seasonal and Arcadia is achieved across all channels and operational models. You will take ownership of the enchanting Christmas World, creating a truly magical experience that captivates our customers and brings the festive spirit to life throughout our iconic store. Working closely with the Head of Buying/ Buying Manager, Merchandising, and Retail teams, you will ensure all decisions are commercially sound, drive trade, and ensure a n optimum customer experience. Your duties will also include: Planning and selecting product according to customer demand, trends, budget, and divisional strategy across channels and locations. You will be responsible for overseeing the complete end-to-end product development process, guiding each stage from initial concept through to final store launch. This includes collaborating closely with suppliers to ensure smooth execution, while fostering strong, long-term partnerships that uphold the highest standards. Planning pop-ups and soft-shop concepts for brands. Supporting the Buying Manager with negotiations and planning vendor shop fits, taking into consideration brand adjacencies and sales densities. Working with TSD on design, merchandise capacity, and installation timings. Attending buying appointments to select product and quantify orders using sales and sell-through analysis. Preparing and reviewing agendas and materials ahead of brand meetings, ensuring airport and online data is also referenced. Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid ’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs. About You You will have expert knowledge of the Buying Cycle as well as the needs of the Christmas, Seasonal and Arcadia categories. You will have a good understanding of a corporate business, our customer profiles, and strategic development. You will be commercially aware, able to demonstrate how you have driven trade across your current department and have impeccable relationship-building skills. You’ll also have experience in both product development and managing supplier relationships, as well as working with major brands. Our future Christmas, Seasonal and Arcadia Buyer will also: Be able to demonstrate effective leadership, able to inspire, nurture, and develop a high-performing team. Have luxury Buying experience. Be an existing Buyer. Be happy to travel frequently to Buying appointments, trade fairs, TVDC, and vendor meetings. Have a creative, solution-based approach. Be PC Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP).
