Digital Trading Manager role at Pets at Home. This is a full-time role with a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum. Location is hybrid with 2 days in the Handforth, Cheshire office (Monday and Tuesday). Hours: 39 per week. Contract: Permanent.

About the Role
As Digital Trading Manager, you will be accountable for the digital sales performance of your category (Health & Wellness, Small Animal, Aquatics, and Reptile). You will work closely with the Buying team, Finance, and Marketing channel leads, playing a key role in defining and executing the online strategy for your departments. You will also be leading a team of 3 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the sales planning process, including top-line numbers, period re-forecasts, and KPI setting
* Work with the campaigns manager to define the onsite content plan, including brand campaigns that deliver supplier terms spend
* Understand the digital customer and their purchasing behaviour and how this differs to store, influencing the online assortment
* Identify and push forward initiatives that drive sales and margin growth to hit business plan targets
* Update weekly on trading performance to wider business stakeholders and build action plans to address any issues
* Using analytics tools available, have a deep understanding of the customer journey from entry point to checkout
* Deliver best in class PDP experience, leading the product upload team to ensure features and benefits and imagery delivered on the PDP to support customer preferences evidenced in the data
* Act as the primary contact with UX and Product Managers to develop features and functionality to enhance the onsite experience
* Work with our 3rd party search and merchandising provider to enhance the tool capabilities in order to increase PLP to PDP rate and Search conversion rate
* Develop team proficiency in analytics tooling – Power BI, Content Square, Google Analytics. Driving a test and learn approach to all decision making
* Work with buying and merchandising and finance teams to determine category and brand plans and phasing by week
* Work with Head of Ecommerce, finance and analytics to determine session, CVR and AOV targets based on key trade activity for your category
* Optimise business and team processes to maximise team output
* Set specific and measurable team objectives which align with department and business objectives
* Identifying talent with a clear plan to retain and progress top performers. Poor performance managed through structured development plans to get back on track
* Develop behavioural and technical team capabilities, setting out a clear training plan
* Prioritise team workload based on business priority, ensuring there is complete clarity on expectations and deadlines
* Create a positive and professional culture, reflecting Pets at Home core values, instigating team collaboration sessions (e.g., store visits)
About You
* 6 years+ experience in eCommerce or Digital Trading
* Already holding the position of Digital Trading Manager or equivalent
* Experience working in medium/large online business required; pet supplies experience is not required.
* Skilled using key Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and insights tools such as Google Analytics and Power BI.
* Experienced in various analytics tools: Content Square, Google Analytics preferable
* A strong team leader is a must; previous management experience is essential
* A dynamic person, who finds solutions and can drive key initiatives forward in a matrix style organisation.
* Experience partnering with key stakeholders and maintaining good relationships.
