GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Nottingham. This role provides the opportunity to deliver tailored lessons, help students develop academically and socially, and create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Role Overview: As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs, adapting lessons to their learning requirements, and promoting confidence, independence, and achievement. You will work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure each child receives the guidance and resources they need to succeed. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver inclusive lessons tailored to pupils with SEN, in line with the national curriculum. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development. Provide one-to-one or small-group support to address specific learning needs. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued. Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to guide learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, SENCOs, and parents to support holistic development. Maintain high standards of behaviour management, safeguarding, and child welfare. Requirements for Primary SEN Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience teaching pupils with SEN is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and personalised learning approaches. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
