What you will do:
* Support the Team Manager in the day-to-day management of the Children With Disability team
* Provide supervision, guidance, and support to social workers and practitioners
* Oversee complex cases involving children with disabilities and additional needs
* Ensure timely assessments, safeguarding interventions, and care planning
* Promote a strengths-based and child-centred approach to practice
* Participate in strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and legal planning meetings
Person specification:
Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Registration & Compliance:
* Registered with Social Work England
* Enhanced DBS
* Right to Work in the UK
Key Skills:
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills
* In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and disability-related legislation
* Excellent decision-making, communication, and analytical skills
* Ability to manage complex cases and support practitioners
* Strong organisational and performance management skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
Experience:
* Significant post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care
* Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs
* Experience supervising or mentoring social work staff
* Experience in safeguarding and statutory social work practice
