Responsibilities
As a Trainee Metal Worker, your duties will involve:
* Operating a selection of manual and CNC-based machinery for metal processing
* Processing steel to customers’ requirements and tolerances
* Working within the company’s quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders
* Operating forklifts, combi lifts, and the crane safely and in a controlled manner
* Loading and offloading plates and parts from the machines
* Identifying and locating different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment
Background
The successful Trainee Metal Worker will have:
* Competency in reading drawings, orders, and following verbal instructions
* The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
