Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer and plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various hands-on tasks related to gas installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings.
* Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Perform troubleshooting on faulty gas systems and implement effective solutions.
* Assemble and fit components using hand tools and power tools as required.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plasterers and carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and compliance documentation.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Completing landlord gas certifications when required.
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for installation and repair tasks.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as needed during installations or repairs.
* Experience in plumbing, welding, or carpentry is advantageous.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
* A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment to job sites.
