One-to-One Teaching Assistant - Autism Support - Tower Hamlets (Primary School)

Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a One-to-One Teaching Assistant to join their team from June 16th. This long-term role involves providing dedicated support to a pupil with Autism in a KS1 class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient, compassionate and experienced One-to-One Teaching Assistant to make a real impact in a child's educational journey. You will play a vital role in helping the student access learning, develop independence and feel confident in the classroom.
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, You Will:
* Work closely with a child with Autism in a KS1 class
* Support learning activities, sensory breaks and communication strategies
* Help manage transitions and regulate emotional responses
* Liaise with SENCO, teachers and parents to track progress
* Provide consistency, encouragement and a calm presence throughout the day
We're Looking For:
* Experience working 1:1 with children with Autism or SEN
* Understanding of ASD strategies such as PECS or visual timetables
* Patient, nurturing and resilient character
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A valid DBS (or willingness to apply)
