Are you a payroll expert ready for your next challenge?

As a Payroll Advisor, you’ll support the delivery of an accurate and compliant payroll service within a fast-paced, people-focused HR Shared Services team.

This is a great opportunity to join a respected employer and make a real impact on critical payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in line with all statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as an escalation point for complex or non-routine payroll queries
* Collaborate with external payroll providers and internal teams to ensure service excellence
* Maintain up-to-date payroll documentation and support knowledge sharing/training
* Administer faster payments accurately and within deadlines
* Review and analyse payroll reports, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
* Ensure compliance with HMRC, tax, pension, holiday pay, and minimum wage legislation
* Conduct governance checks to uphold payroll accuracy and mitigate risks
* Provide general support to the Payroll Team Lead, deputising when required

What We’re Looking For

* In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory compliance
* Proven experience in payroll operations, including handling complex transactions
* Familiarity with payroll systems/software and strong Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
* Professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
* Awareness of current and evolving payroll regulations and best practice
