The tree management team at Lancashire County Council is seeking an experienced tree officer to work in the southern districts of Lancashire (Preston, West Lancashire, South Ribble, and Chorley). The role involves delivering arboricultural management services, including conducting and recording inspections, providing specialist arboricultural advice, offering technical assistance and mentorship to junior colleagues, maintaining effective relationships and communication with other agencies, and providing technical advice for project delivery across services.
Candidates must have experience managing tree assets for large organizations, familiarity with GIS and inventory systems, managing arboricultural contracts, preparing reports, and working in a customer service environment.
This is an essential car user post; a full UK driving license is required. A Lancashire County Council vehicle will be provided for business use.
