A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Balsall Heath is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support their dedicated SEN hub provision. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with additional needs.
The school's SEN hub supports pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with a range of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delay. You'll be part of a skilled and welcoming team, providing both 1:1 and small group support in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with SEN in the dedicated hub area, providing tailored interventions
* Work 1:1 with pupils to help them access the curriculum at their own pace
* Lead or assist in small group sessions focused on communication, social skills and routine
* Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to track progress and adjust strategies
Requirements / Qualifications
* Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification, or relevant qualifications
* Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Confident supporting children with ASD, communication needs and sensory processing difficulties
