The Contracts Engineer will support contract management and compliance within the Excellence & Compliance Department. The role ensures that contract drafting, administration, and monitoring processes align with internal policies, operational excellence standards, and corporate governance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
 * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field) or Business (Contracts/Procurement).
Experience:
 * Minimum of 10 years’ experience in contract management/administration within the oil and gas industry.
Technical Knowledge:
 * In-depth knowledge of procurement and contract law.
 * Experience in contractor KPI tracking (HSE, quality, operational excellence).
Standards & Systems:
 * Strong understanding of the Operational Excellence (OE) framework.
 * Proficiency in SAP or equivalent contract administration systems.
Preferred Exposure:
 * Experience in tendering, bid evaluation, contract award, and change management.

 * Technical Knowledge: Expertise in contracting, procurement, and commercial governance.
 * Analytical Skills: Skilled in cost/terms analysis and negotiation support.
 * Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Procurement, Legal, and user departments.
 * Communication: Strong skills in drafting contracts, preparing minutes, and producing executive reports.
 * Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP MM/SRM, e-tendering platforms, and document control systems.

Core Responsibilities
 * Draft, review, and administer contracts in compliance with internal and external standards.
 * Manage the tendering process, including bid evaluation and contract award.
 * Ensure alignment of contracting processes with operational and governance frameworks.
 * Support contractor performance monitoring, KPI tracking, and compliance reporting.
 * Collaborate with legal, procurement, and operational teams to resolve contract-related issues.
 * Maintain accurate contract documentation within SAP and related systems.
