Who You Are You are an experienced professional in facilities management and capital projects, ideally with significant experience in local or central government or other major public sector organizations. You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to advise senior officers and Members, backed by relevant formal training and qualifications in facilities management, project management, and health and safety management. What the Job Involves You will lead the strategy and internal governance for the delivery of facilities building management and capital projects across the Council and its partner services. This includes implementing strategies for corporate health and safety, emergency planning, and business continuity. You will be responsible for overseeing the Council’s property assets, ensuring they meet all legislative and regulatory requirements, and managing significant capital projects to ensure timely and quality completion. You'll work closely with senior managers and external stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement, compliance, and effective service delivery across the Council's facilities and projects. Additionally, you will manage budgets, procure services, and provide training and development for your team.
