Based in Aberdeen, the client is an established construction group renowned for delivering high-quality construction & civil engineering projects throughout Scotland. Presently, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join the team during a period of growth in Aberdeen and can contribute to their continued success. In your new role, as Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for running the daily commercial function across construction and/or civil engineering projects. Within this role, you will be offered a hybrid working model and responsibilities will include managing all costs relating to civil engineering projects from the initial calculations to the final figures, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure project milestones are achieved, providing input on potential cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety, preparing contract documents, including bills of quantities, monitoring and controlling project budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met, handling variations, claims, and disputes effectively and efficiently, produce detailed progress reports and forecasts & mentor and support junior quantity surveyors.
