We are now looking to recruit a Pre-Construction Manager to join the Infrastructure team based out of our Burton Upon Trent office, with coverage for our Bury St Edmunds office.
Salary
£60,000 - £70,000 per annum
About the Infrastructure Team
Our Infrastructure team delivers M&E projects for customers in Defence, Retail, Rail, Commercial, Industrial, and Healthcare sectors across England.
Role Responsibilities
1. Estimating and bid writing to support business development efforts.
2. Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
3. Leading the estimation team (currently 2 electrical and 2 mechanical estimators) to ensure accurate prime costs.
4. Developing and implementing pre-construction strategies aligned with business objectives, emphasizing quality and profitability.
5. Researching and developing new business opportunities across various business streams.
6. Engaging with clients to describe and sell our mechanical and electrical engineering services, including Data and Network Solutions, Process, Panel Manufacturing, and general Building and Technical Services.
7. Staying updated on marketplace needs and identifying potential new clients and opportunities.
8. Identifying and challenging value engineering savings during tender stages.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in pricing MEP building services, including LV & HV infrastructure, lighting, small power, data networks, HVAC, LTHW, and renewables (desirable).
* Proven track record in strategy development and implementation to drive growth.
* Strong leadership skills to support the Operations Director and the team.
* Ability to effectively communicate and sell engineering solutions to clients.
