Finance and Referral Assistant Our client is seeking a highly organised Finance and Referral Assistant to support both the Finance Team and the Placement Referrals Team. This role ensures financial processes, referrals, and placement administration are completed accurately and on time, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. What’s on Offer? Job Type: Full time, permanent Location: Dover Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £25,935 – £29,500 per annum Reporting to: Finance Manager Key Responsibilities: Support day-to-day finance operations, including sales and purchase ledgers Complete reconciliations, including bank and petty cash Raise invoices, manage credit control, and oversee aged debtors Support payroll and pension processing Process supplier invoices and manage purchase orders Monitor residential home spend and provide financial analysis Maintain accurate records using Xero and Sage Manage and liaise on utility contracts Support referral and placement administration for children’s services Liaise with Local Authorities and Residential Homes regarding placements Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately and stored correctly Provide administrative support to Placement Managers as required Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements: Experience using Xero or similar accounting software AAT Level 2 or 3 qualified Knowledge of Sage Payroll or equivalent Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload Advanced Excel skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role GCSE Maths and English desirable Our Ideal Candidate: Organised, reliable, and proactive Comfortable working independently and across teams Professional and discreet when handling confidential information Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude How to Apply: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, background checks, and right-to-work verification.
