About the Role As a Specialist Autism Practitioner, you will: Provide tailored, evidence-based support to students with ASC within a nurturing specialist setting. Implement individualised learning and behaviour support strategies, ensuring every learner can access the curriculum. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to promote consistency and holistic development. Support emotional regulation, communication, social interaction, and sensory integration needs. Contribute to the creation of a safe, structured, and autism-friendly environment. Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and take part in review meetings. What We're Looking For Experience working with children or young people with Autism in a school, therapy, or care setting. Strong understanding of ASC, sensory profiles, communication strategies (e.g., PECS, TEACCH, visual supports), and anxiety-based behaviours. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach with excellent communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Relevant training or qualifications in SEND, Autism, psychology, behaviour support, or related fields (desirable but not essential)
