Warehouse Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Operation at our Grimsby depot on a fulltime basis.
Shift Pattern Available: working 4 on 4 off - 2x days working 06:00-18:00, and 2x nights working 18:00-06:00.
Annual salary: £35,596.67
Are you a natural leader with experience in warehouse or logistics environments? We're looking for a Team Leader to supervise our warehouse operations and help drive safety, performance, and productivity standards. In this key role, you’ll work closely with leadership to ensure service, quality, and compliance expectations are consistently met in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Supervision & Development - Lead, train, and coach your team while providing regular performance feedback to support continuous improvement.
2. Operational Oversight - Organise workloads and assign duties to ensure the efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
3. Stock & Inventory Control - Manage the organisation of stock and maintain accurate warehouse inventory using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
4. Planning & Reporting - Plan resource requirements for daily job assignments and keep accurate records of KPIs. Send regular reports to operations leadership.
5. Health & Safety Focus - Ensure all safety standards are met when working with machinery and material handling equipment.
6. Effective Communication - Act as a point of contact for your team, resolving issues and ensuring open, clear communication across all levels of the business.
7. You will be working in temperatures of around -20 degrees, but we’ll provide you with the personal protective equipment to keep you warm.
What We’re Looking For
8. Previous warehouse or logistics leadership experience. Coldstore experience is a plus, but not essential.
9. Comfortable using WMS to track stock and support operations.
10. Strong conflict management skills — calm under pressure and focused on fair outcomes.
11. Clear and confident communication in English with all team members.
12. Flexibility to support shift changes when needed.
