ICT - Driving Technological Transformation
Responsibilities
* Manage change and release activities within the ICT environment, ensuring changes are logged, assessed, authorised, planned, tested, implemented, and reviewed to control risk and minimise disruption to council services.
* Oversee the release process and ensure ICT solutions are tested and delivered on time, supporting business transformation and maintaining service continuity.
* Collaborate with technical teams and business partners to ensure new services are supported before go-live, that operational teams understand how they work, and that any known issues are documented.
* Write clear technical documentation, manage change and release processes, monitor performance, and report on effectiveness.
* Identify improvements, chair meetings such as the Change Advisory Board when required, and act as the main liaison for ICT aspects of new projects.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, with an ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation qualification.
* Experience supporting ICT transformation projects, managing change and release processes, and making informed decisions in a technical environment.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to assess both technical and business impacts of change.
