We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Worker for Children's Department who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team within Children's. The post holder will provide essential support to the clinical team.

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will need to be able to provide our patients with the highest standards of care during their stay with us.
You will be asked to support on the ward with:
* Completing observations and escalating concerns to the nurses
* Support with good quality patient centred care
* Support with tasks such as taking patients to theatre, to scans and to appointments
* Supporting with personal cares such as washing, toileting etc
As a clinical support worker you will be caring and kind, willing to be hands-on with patients within a hospital environment.
You may be required to work across sites such as Lister,QE11 and Hertford County Hospital

Person specification
Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
* GCSEs (or equivalent qualification or standard) In English & Math
* Willingness to undertake in-house training appropriate to the role
Desirable criteria
* Health related NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Care certificate
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience of working within a team.
* Experience of working with the general public or a range of different people
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working within a health care environment.
* Demonstrate ability to follow agreed policies and procedures.
Skills
Essential criteria
* Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with CYP, and their families, of varying levels of understanding
* Excellent organisation and communication skills and ability to work to deadlines
* Demonstrates a flexible approach to work
* Basic IT skills
* Evidence of being self-motivated
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to use them to communicate effectively with patients within a multi-disciplinary team
* Ability to work in a busy, sometimes pressurised environment
Desirable criteria
* Willingness to develop IT skills as appropriate to role.
Knowledge

* Understanding of the requirements of the role
