Techniche Global is working with an engineering consultancy to appoint an experienced Automation, Controls, and Electrical Engineer to work in Plymouth.
You will require strong knowledge and practical skills in the areas of Electrical, Automation, Controls, and Instrumentation, ideally with previous exposure to Electrical CAD software.
Role Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support in Electrical, Automation, and Instrumentation internally and with clients.
2. Install new automation systems for the factory and attend to maintenance and upkeep of existing systems.
3. Provide technical and functional support from concept through to in-service support.
4. Ensure health and safety compliance and promote safety practices within the team and with clients.
5. Uphold the company’s core values of Simplicity, Clarity, and Integrity in all interactions.
Key Skills
1. Demonstrate strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills in Electrical, Automation, Controls, and Instrumentation engineering.
2. Work effectively within a motivated multidisciplinary team.
3. Represent the company professionally with clients and suppliers.
4. Communicate well with team members and peers, maintaining a positive attitude.
5. Experience with integration and commissioning of electrical power and control systems.
6. Produce technical documentation supporting designs.
7. Specify electrical control panels and system designs for subcontractors.
8. Possess strong knowledge of electrical power and control systems (3-Ph, 1-Ph, DC).
9. Stay up-to-date with electrical and safety legislation and standards (Wiring regs BS7671).
The role offers a salary between GBP40,000 and GBP45,000, depending on experience, with an attractive bonus and profit share scheme. Benefits include 25 days leave, private medical benefits, and the option to work from home one day per week.
