Robert Half is partnering with a leading international business to recruit a Finance Business Partner, offering a competitive salary of £70,000 - £80,000 plus benefits, with hybrid working.
The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving business performance by delivering financial insights and partnering with senior stakeholders across commercial, operational, and engineering functions. This is a highly visible role, providing strategic support and commercial analysis to ensure profitable decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as a trusted partner to business development, product management, operations, and engineering teams.
Providing robust financial analysis to support pricing, bids, contracts, and product profitability.
Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
Conducting detailed margin, customer, and product profitability analysis, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
Supporting year-end processes, cost audits, and liaising with external auditors.
Driving process improvement and system enhancements to strengthen financial controls and reporting.
Supervising and mentoring a cost accountant.
The Candidate
We are seeking a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in a commercially focused role. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proven experience in business partnering within a manufacturing or product-focused environment.
Strong product costing and pricing experience, ideally within a standard costing environment.
Advanced Excel modelling and strong ERP skills (SAP or similar).
A proactive, commercially minded approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate financials into actionable insights.
